It's beautiful here, the air is crystal clear, and we think our climate is perfect. No big city crime, no traffic, no long commute. Like much of New Mexico, we're a rural community, but it's easy to get here from any direction. We even have a popular general aviation airport just at the edge of town, and we're working to establish commercial air service to Angel Fire. And when you're not working, the outdoor recreation opportunities are nearly endless, all year long.

In the American way, Angel Fire is a melting pot. Some of our families have been here for generations, but many of our residents have deliberately moved here from other parts of the country, even other nations, because it's such a great place to live. They've brought their business acumen, their artistic skills, and a wealth of knowledge, experience and creativity. Our workers range from semi-retired to fresh out of school, but they all have one thing in common: a desire to help keep Angel Fire a great place to work and live.

Angel Fire is part of the Cimarron Municipal Schools District, and we're proof that you don't have to live in the big city to give your kids a top-notch education. Our young ones attend Eagle Nest Elementary and Middle School, just ten miles away. This school is acknowledged as one of New Mexico's most innovative. Some of our high school students travel to Cimarron each day, and others attend Moreno Valley High School here in Angel Fire. MVHS is ranked among the nation's top charter high schools. Our students attend school Monday through Thursday, with longer days to ensure appropriate classroom time.

Our Moreno Valley Health Care Clinic is staffed by medical professionals including a doctor, physician's assistant and nurses and equipped with X-ray and other typical clinic services. Angel Fire's Fire Department has ambulances and highly trained EMT staff. Just a half-hour away, Holy Cross hospital in Taos is a 47-bed acute care facility. Angel Fire Resort also maintains a seasonal medical clinic at the ski area base. We have a dentist, too. And your pets will be reassured to know there's also a local veterinarian.

Unlike so many parts of New Mexico, the Village of Angel Fire has sufficient water rights to support continuing residential and commercial growth.

Every home in Angel Fire has a beautiful view - you need only look out the window! Housing options include everything from modest mobile homes to condos to single family homes nestled among the trees. There are a few apartments, and we're working to build more apartments as well as entry-level homes here in Angel Fire.

We're serious about business here in Angel Fire, but we're friendly and informal. We like dogs, and you'll see them in many of our local businesses. What you won't see is a cookie-cutter look, chain stores or fast food restaurants.
